Grannys Beef Stew

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 pounds sirloin steak, cubed 1/4 cup all-purpose flour for coating
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste 1 onion, chopped
- 4 carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces 1 (29 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 3 potatoes, cubed
