Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Bars
you can use a different type of chocolate chip in the chocolate chip cheesecake bars. Milk chocolate, dark chocolate or even white chocolate chips can be substituted depending on your preference. You can also use multiple types of chocolate chips for a unique twist.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1-1/2 cups miniature semisweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
